Monitoring AdWords Click Fraud
I haven't done much of anything with Google Analytics. Does it have some feature that makes it easy (in comparison to other analytics software) to monitor click fraud on your AdWords campaigns? Google seems to be "selling" that as a feature.
I use GA a lot (for almost all my stats now) and have not seen such a feature.
You can see how much traffic AdWords delivered to your site and ironically, Analytics always reports fewer clicks than AdWords itself (makes you wonder who's committing the fraud here mr Google!).
Analytics is certainly nice but there's much left to improve on.
"Analytics always reports fewer clicks than AdWords itself"
You know, I've yet to come across an analytics package that reports the same number of clicks/visits as Adwords does. AdWords ALWAYS reports more clicks/visitors than my analytics or raw server logs.
I'm going to post a full year summary (highlighting the differences in reported numbers) for an account I manage in January.
