AdWords Website Optimizer Tool
I just found out....
"Congratulations! You've been selected to take part in the beta test of the Website Optimizer tool. "
I applied to test it out on October 18th and just received the approval e-mail a few minutes ago. It looks like I'll have to bump this up the priority chain as I did notice this text within the e-mail:
"As a Beta tester, you get the chance to try out Website Optimizer before anyone else. We ask that you start an experiment within the next two weeks so that you can help us gather feedback early on. During this test, your feedback is particularly helpful, as it will help us to improve the tool for you and other advertisers who use it in the future."
I really haven't seen a lot of feedback about this service in the blog/forum communities. Anyone else out there had a chance to take it for a spin yet?
I'll post updates as I proceed. If you have any questions about the AdWords Website Optimizer Tool post them here and I'll do my best to answer them.

I've had the pleasure of test driving the system for about a week now. You're going to love it! I think I might have even posted the first review on it (last week)on the old el blog-o-rama.
Chris,
Thanks for the comment, nice to know others are already knee deep in and still loving it:-)
I ran into trouble with it almost immediately. Two main problems were:
1) Did not handle changing of a value that occurred in multiple tags (e.g. in headline and within a form tag as would often be the case for a buy now button). In other words, if you wanted to test a price that appears both in the headline and as a hidden "amount" field in your buy now button form, you were out of luck.
2. Failed to recognize a conversion coming from a page that was protected using .htaccess even though Google Analytics had no problem counting that same page. Moving an exact copy of the page to a public directory worked fine, but then left my digital download page exposed so was not an option.
